Play-Off Fixtures – Clarification
We would like to clarify the arrangements regarding this season's play-off fixtures, following some questions from teams.
Play-offs are not a new arrangement and are covered by Rule 23.2 of the Bury Rounders League Rules, which has been in place for over ten years.
Where teams are equal on points and a play-off is required, the fixture must be played on the team's designated league fixture night. The play-off period was included within the season schedule provided to all teams at the start of the season, allowing teams to plan their availability accordingly.
The play-off fixtures have been communicated to the teams involved, and referees have also been arranged in advance.
We appreciate that the summer holidays can make player availability more difficult. However, to ensure fairness and consistency across all teams, we cannot rearrange individual play-off fixtures to accommodate the availability of particular teams or players. Making exceptions for individual teams could potentially put other teams at a disadvantage, which is why the same arrangements need to apply to everyone.
We appreciate everyone's understanding and wish all teams involved in the play-offs the best of luck.
