About Us

Welcome to Bury Rounders League Season 2025 – a vibrant and inclusive female-only league built around the love of rounders. We offer a fun yet competitive environment where players of all levels can enjoy the game, grow their skills, and build lasting friendships.

Our History

Bury Rounders League was founded on October 4th, 1948, with the goal of bringing women together through sport. Over the decades, we have grown into a well-established league, welcoming teams from across the region. While rounders remains at the heart of what we do, our league is also built on values of teamwork, respect, and community spirit.

League Structure

Our league operates with a well-organized structure to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players.

  • Teams & Fixtures: The league consists of multiple teams, with matches scheduled throughout the season.
  • Match Format: Games follow a structured set of rules, ensuring fair play and competitive balance.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Each team has a designated welfare officer trained in safeguarding Level 1, who reports to the league’s Welfare Coordinator (DSL)—responsible for overseeing safeguarding concerns and triaging reports.

Inclusivity & Community

At Bury Rounders League, we believe in creating a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy the game. We are committed to fairness, respect, and ensuring that all players feel valued and included. Safeguarding is a key part of this commitment—we actively promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across the league to make sure every player feels protected, respected, and heard.
